Users can integrate the Series 5B and 5C VSMs into their communications network using industry-standard network protocols AS-i, DeviceNet™, and PROFIBUS DP. These protocols replace the chaotic web of cables used for a mixed signal control system with as little as a single network cable, reducing design complexity and cost. Most users can reduce their installation and commissioning cost by as much as 50% per automated valve package compared to conventional cabling systems.

To communicate on the network of choice, the S5B/C VSMs utilize a network interface card- the CommPro module. These interchangeable modules provide the powerful capabilities of network protocols with an easy-to-use interface. The CommPro modules clearly marked terminals allow for easy wiring and rapid commissioning, also available as a “plug & play” option with factory wired pin connectors. Discrete position control is achieved using two solenoid outputs for added convenience without additional cost.

A butterfly valve is a type of valve that is used to regulate the flow of fluids or air. There are several types of butterfly designs; concentric (stem/disc are centered within the bore of the valve) and eccentric (which the stem is not centered to the disc or bore). These eccentric designs are most often in the high-performance butterfly valves (double offset) and the triple offset valves which add an angle to the seat and sealing surface of the valve. While valve design plays into the selection of the valve, often the valve fl**ge connection (wafer, lug, and double fl**ge) is just as crucial as the functional design of the valve.

Bray is committed to offering high quality products certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and NSF/ANSI/CAN 372, while also meeting the requirements of the U.S. EPA’s Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA). Bray’s NSF certified ball valve products have passed a rigorous certification program involving product testing, material verification, and audits of the manufacturing plant and production process. These certifications and compliances assure our customers that unsafe levels of lead and other harmful contaminants are not leaching into the drinking water being processed and distributed from our certified ball valve products.

Series 762 is a bidirectional heavy duty slurry valve, designed for demanding slurry applications. Twin elastomer sleeves and push-through gate design facilitate self-cleaning and prevent media build up. The durable ductile iron body is offered in a two-piece bolted fl**ge style. When fully open, the valve is full bore offering no resistance to line media.

A wafer butterfly valve is a type of valve that is designed to be installed between two pipe fl**ges. It is called a wafer butterfly valve because it has a thin, disc-shaped body that resembles a wafer. This type of valve is typically used in applications where space is limited and pressures are low.

A lug butterfly valve has lugs or ears on either side of the valve body that are used to bolt the valve to the pipe fl**ges. This type of valve is often used in applications higher in pressure and allow customers to remove one side of the piping arrangement without removing the other.

A double fl**ge butterfly valve is a type of valve that has a fl**ge on both ends of the valve body. This type of valve is typically used in applications where the wafer or lug butterfly valve cannot be used because the pipe fl**ges are not compatible with those types of valves. Double fl**ge butterfly valves are also often used in applications where a higher-pressure level of sealing is required.

Bray offers a variety of butterfly valves with wafer, lug and double fl**ge connection options in both concentric and eccentric design types.
