From bridges and tanks to one of the world’s most iconic scientific structures — 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗧𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁® continues to support demanding surface preparation projects across the industrial coatings industry.

CoatingsPro Magazine recently featured the recoating of the 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗖. 𝗕𝘆𝗿𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲, the world’s largest fully steerable radio telescope. The project required wet abrasive blasting, strict dust control, challenging access, and careful planning in a remote West Virginia location.

As part of the surface prep process, 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗧𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝟭𝟬𝟮 was added to the blast water to help minimize flash rusting on newly exposed steel.

This is exactly the kind of project that shows why surface preparation matters.
