TeQnovation is expanding its automation engineering team and we are looking for a SCADA & PLC Engineer with strong AVEVA experience.
You will be working on industrial automation and SCADA integration projects across GCC, supporting critical infrastructure, utilities, and industrial facilities where reliability and real-time visibility are essential.
This role suits engineers who enjoy working on real systems in the field, integrating SCADA platforms with PLCs and delivering practical automation solutions for complex industrial environments.

What you will be involved in
• Engineering and configuring AVEVA SCADA systems
• Developing and maintaining PLC programs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric) is a must
• Integrating SCADA platforms with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, IEC, and DNP
• Supporting system integration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Working with SQL Server and operational data systems
• Preparing and maintaining technical documentation and system design deliverables

What we are looking for
✔ AVEVA certification is required
✔ Minimum 3–4 years hands-on experience in industrial automation
✔ Strong experience with SCADA engineering and PLC programming, especially towards Schneider Electric and Siemens PLC’s
✔ Knowledge of industrial communication protocols
✔ Experience with SQL Server queries and data integration
✔ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
✔ Ability to work in a project-driven, customer-focused environment
Candidates must be willing to travel occasionally to project sites and provide two professional references from previous employers.

The Diagnostic Journey: From Raw Data to a "Data X-Ray" from our Compressor Study.

Our journey began by creating a "Data X-Ray" of all 45 sensors to understand their interrelationships. This initial step, a comprehensive correlation analysis, immediately highlighted both a challenge and an opportunity. As shown by the large,distinct blocks of red in the heat map, many sensors were highly correlated, essentially telling the same story. This insight was crucial, as it allowed us to intelligently reduce the number of features from 45 to a core set of "vital signs" without losing critical information, making our models more efficient and robust.

The initial "Data X-Ray." The clearly defined red blocks confirm high correlation between groups of sensors, validating our data reduction strategy. However, the most profound insight comes from the blue.

Today we elaborate further on our case study, where we defined our analytical approach - A disciplined Methodology... Remember, this is the compressor study!

To ensure the findings of this pilot are both robust and repeatable, we employed a structured, multi-phase methodology grounded in industry best practices like CRISP-DM and ISO 13374 for machine diagnostics. Our approach is not a linear process, but an iterative cycle of discovery and validation, orchestrating human expertise with intelligent automation to transform raw data into strategic outcomes.

The shared orchestration flow, shows our high-level methodology, which combines user requirements and asset data with a powerful analytical engine. This iterative process of intelligent processing and code ex*****on, guided by specialist knowledge, ensures the final output delivers quantifiable business value.

To summarize the kick-off for our case study, and our process, 3 core phases are used in this case summary:

1. Understand the Data & Establish a Baseline:
The first phase is dedicated to deep data immersion. We begin by ingesting and structuring the raw sensor data, followed by a rigorous exploratory data analysis (EDA). The goal is to understand the fundamental relationships between sensors, identify data quality issues, and establish a statistically sound baseline of what "normal" or healthy operation looks like.

2. Analyze Findings & Discover Patterns:
Once a health baseline is established, we deploy machine learning models to automatically detect any deviations from this norm. These deviations, or anomalies, are then analyzed using advanced clustering algorithms to uncover hidden, recurring patterns of behavior—the "fingerprints" of potential issues. This phase moves from simple detection to sophisticated pattern recognition.

3. Explore Further & Quantify Business Impact:
The final phase translates these technical findings into business context. We explore the impact of the discovered patterns on operational performance, such as efficiency and output. By defining peak performance benchmarks, we can quantify the financial cost of deviations, turning abstract data points into a clear business case for action.

This disciplined approach ensures that our conclusions are not based on correlation alone, but on a deep, validated understanding of the asset's behavior and its direct impact on the business.
