Stem Cell Reserve

Stem Cell Reserve We are making every placenta and umbilical cord indispensable to families while revolutionizing science and regenerative medicine. We welcome all your comments.

Dear friends,

Welcome to Stem Cell Reserve. This page is to help you, especially parents, understand what your baby's umbilical cord means to medicine. We would like to inform and receive feedback from you regarding your experience with umbilical cord blood and tissue banking. This page is to present our opinion and inform parents of all ethical, scientific, medical and regulatory reports on stem

cells and stem cell therapy focusing on the umbilical cord in particular. Following this information, we hope that you will be better able to make your decisions with respect to banking your child's cord, discarding it or donating it to a public bank. The umbilical cord is normally discarded however this tissue is rich in cells and structural or biological components that are revolutionizing medicine. Today, an expectant mother can request from a maternity nurse to collect her newborn's healthy umbilical cord for a private bank for future medical use within the family. Alternatively, if eligible, an expectant mother can request from a maternity nurse to anonymously donate her newborn's healthy umbilical cord to a public bank for an unrelated patient to benefit from in a research or therapeutic setting. SCR is founded by Dr. Raymond Mouzannar, a stem cell scientist who aims to serve mothers-to-be to either privately collect or donate to the public their newborn's umbilical cord blood and tissue. SCR is a unique patented facility planned specifically for hybrid (private and public) banking to minimize risks and increase medical value of manufactured biologicals. With mother's consent, SCR collects the umbilical cord and uses a second patented technology to process blood and tissue. Our scientists, patents, products and worldwide academic collaborations are leading us to the forefront of regenerative medicine. We aim to best serve families and provide public patients with the best clinical grade umbilical cord-derived products used to treat, repair or reconstruct virtually any degenerative disease, injury or aging tissue. Thank you for visiting our page.

Due to increased demand, Stem Cell RESERVE encourages Moms to tell their obstetrician or L&D nurse to only collect for a public or private biobank she chooses and which provides medical benefit back her family.
