🚨 Big change for kitchen islands!

If you’re building a new home, here’s something you may not know: the electrical code has changed for outlets in kitchen islands.

For many years, outlets were commonly installed on the side of the island. Under the current National Electrical Code, that method is no longer permitted for new installations. Builders must now use code-compliant alternatives that keep kitchens both functional and up to today’s safety standards.

Building a custom home means more than choosing finishes—it’s about staying current with evolving building codes and best practices.
