Former President Jimmy Carter owns farmland in Plains, Georgia, that now contains 3,852 solar panels. A longtime supporter of clean energy, Carter worked with SolAmerica to install the system on 10 acres of farmland. They provide over half the town's power and can produce enough energy to power between 400 and 900 homes.
