These are the final pictures of the new construction home in the Howell High School Building Trades program.

We had a Manual J, D, and S performed by Energy Diagnostics in Indiana.

We showed the students how to install all the ductwork, thermostat wiring, and gas piping; they did the job.

What you see is as perfect an installation as possible.

These students now have an opportunity to become professional HVAC technicians and installers.

This is a replacement for a 9 year old steam boiler in downtown Howell.

The reason it cracked was because the Hartford Loop was 5-1/2” too low.

The water line was actually an inch below the minimum.

We also fabricated a manifold so that the steam would flow evenly out of the boiler and not just one side causing it shut off on low water and then send 55 degree water back into the hot boiler.

I think the reason it was installed poorly was because the other contractor didn’t know how to get the 100 year old steam boiler piping apart. We do!
