The Phillips-Medisize team from Global Innovation and Design in Hudson, Wisc., recently realized the true value of vision, spending the day volunteering with ReSpectacle , a local nonprofit that repairs and redistributes quality, used eyeglasses to underserved communities worldwide.

This week, at the 2022 PDA Universe of Pre-Filled Syringes and Injection Devices Conference, we had the opportunity to engage our booth visitors in insightful conversations around our CDMO capabilities and platform products for drug delivery. The Parenteral Drug Association (PDA) also announced the winners of the 2022 PDA Drug Delivery Innovation Awards, recognizing technical innovations in the advancing field of bio/pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Phillips-Medisize and Ascendis Pharma received the Innovation Award for the SKYTROFA® Auto-Injector, which supports the delivery of the SKYTROFA drug product. Teaching storytelling to the next generation of designers is extremely important to developing critical new skills. To help address this need, volunteers from the Phillips-Medisize Global Innovation and Design team recently hosted a Storytelling Workshop for the University of Wisconsin-Stout Industrial Design cohort.

The students received interactive training on key design topics, including stakeholder mapping, persona development and testing, storyboarding and expectation management. After grasping these different topics, they were tasked with using their new skills to create storyboards on a product they had researched. The teams defined their goal, anticipated their audience, laid out their first draft, assessed the levels of abstraction and iterated their message to craft a story that would resonate with their stakeholder personas.

This workshop was a wonderful opportunity to encourage insightful conversations in a collaborative environment with the next generation of industrial designers. Learn how Phillips-Medisize is Bringing Possibilities to Life by using these tools and more to help develop compelling products that thoughtfully address user needs. 👇
