We love when customers put our products to the test.

Richard Grant, P.E. with Safe Water International Ministries (S.W.I.M.) sent us footage from his evaluation of several adhesives for a marine application involving HDPE and vinyl.

One of those products was Permabond® TA4611—and Richard told us:

“The Chemical Concepts product outperformed all competitors.”

The video speaks for itself. TA4611 remained bonded as the test apparatus reached approximately 111 lbs. of force, eventually pulling the test board from the clamp rather than breaking the adhesive bond.

Not all plastics bond the same way.

An adhesive that works well on acrylic or ABS may not be the right choice for polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon, or another engineered plastic. In fact, low-surface-energy plastics like PE and PP can be particularly difficult to bond with conventional adhesives.
