We are all feeling beyond grateful and moved by the noble work of the and this past weekend in Huntington Beach, as we watched everyone manifest their dreams of enjoying the famous waves of Huntington Beach on a gorgeous summer day.

What does it mean to be a leader?

When discussing the topic of leadership, specifically in a high-stress, high stakes, fast-paced environment such as a construction site, taking ownership and taking charge is a task and responsibility few are prepared to handle.

Dealing with hundreds of personnel on the ground, thousands of pounds of steel, powertools, and scheduling down to the minute requires a calm, cool, collected presence to bring so many elements together in perfect coordination.

The ability to react quickly and adapt to a sudden change in course or an unforeseen circumstance while maintaining a level-head is an often unrecognized yet invaluable trait in some of the most successful and revered leaders.

At BRYMAX, our field crew working at Los Angeles International Airport looks no further than Jake Jakubowski, who, with over three decades of on the job experience, brings an answer to whatever comes his way. Leading from the front and leading by example, he is highly spoken of by those working around him and respected as a senior member with invaluable experience and expertise.

Currently an important cog in the machine that is the titanic project over at Los Angeles International Airport, Jake Jakubowski juggles many different responsibilities and is the perfect example of composed leadership that all should seek to emulate.

The one priority and value that transcends all others at BRYMAX is employee safety;

ensuring the safety of every field member is paramount to a productive work place, and to making sure everyone gets home to their loved ones at the end of the day.

Safety is never a joking matter; there is no detail too small, too insignificant when it comes to protecting not only yourself but those around you.

BRYMAX highly encourages and rewards safe practices from all personnel; something as small as making sure your hard hat is properly fastened can save your life. Small, preventative measures, when added up, make significant differences.

Thank you to our foremen and dedicated safety managers for always putting the health and wellness of BRYMAX personnel above all else.
