In the coming days temperatures are expected to be below freezing for over 24 hours. This is a very vulnerable time for your home and you should not take anything for granted. Freezing temperatures will extend beyond the evenings into the days so take these measures during that entire period of time.

Kitchen sinks, as well as bathroom, and laundry sinks are often on outside walls. You should open cabinet doors and leave the water on just beyond a drip between hot and cold water. Showers and tubs should be considered the same.

Double check to make sure your foundation vents are closed and exterior hose pipes are disconnected from your home. Taking all of the steps as well as keeping the temperature of your home in the mid 60s should assist you in avoiding frozen and burst pipes. Extremely good article I’d recommend anyone reading considering the purchase of any home or commercial property. Opportunities are out there for new, like new and fixer uppers; fixer uppers can be a real value because the overall market doesn’t make that their first priority.

Just some suggestions from a guy watching over forty-five years of the ups and downs in Huntsville Metro. Oh, cash is king right now with quick closings!
