James Carver serves as a Capture Manager in COLSA’s Business Development department. At COLSA, his main goal is to help the company grow, and he continually brings new opportunities to COLSA’s pipeline. ✈️

Over James’ 34-year military career, he managed portfolios, led large teams, and served as an exceptional naval aviator. James spent much of his military career in Patuxent River, Maryland, serving as Commanding Officer and Chief Test Pilot for Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 23 (VX-23), Deputy Program Manager of the PMA-234 Airborne Electronic Attack team under NAVAIR, and leading NAVAIR’s largest Foreign Military Sales (FMS) portfolio in support of 40 foreign partner customers and 226 Foreign Military cases valued at $8.5 billion.

Last month, NASA's Artemis II Crew (Astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen) visited NASA Stennis Space Center and the NASA Shared Service Center in Mississippi. 🧑‍🚀

The visit included a video they created and narrated live which captured mission highlights from crew selection, training, launch and re-entry, and splashdown.

In addition to every COLSA NTSS team employee who played a part in the Artemis II Mission, Christina gave a shout out to the NSSC travel team:

“I just have to say that one thing that wasn’t in there but should have been…all those trips, every single time you saw a clip of us with the team, that was a travel voucher that you guys enabled and I’m not even kidding, that helped us…you have no idea.” 🚀

They reminded the team that we help put humans in space, we are a part of setting up the next steps for Artemis III, and our efforts are having a positive impact on humanity. ✨

DeMarcus Thomas, PhD, supports various Missile Defense Agency (MDA) projects as COLSA’s Senior Software Assurance Analyst. He serves as the team lead who performs software assessments to detect potential issues in our customers’ products. 🔎💻

Utilizing a robust set of capabilities, including Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and other advanced evaluation techniques, Dr. Thomas identifies vulnerabilities, assesses the severity of our findings, and reports them to stakeholders for adjudication and remediation. He also serves as lead analyst and primary Point of Contact (PoC) between our team and customers.
