RIP Vernon F Hutchens Jr.
April 4, 1932 - January 17, 2021

He worked at the Hutchens Company for 64 years. He started working for his father Vernon Hutchens in 1957 as store manager of the Parkway City Hardware store. He guided the company through changing times.

I am honored to follow in his huge footsteps and look forward to the future of our historic firm.

Dispatcher Needed

The Hutchens Company, a 136-year old heating, air conditioning, and plumbing company in Huntsville, AL, is looking for a dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate has proven experience managing multiple priorities: customers, managers, and field employees. A great customer service ethic is also requirement. Dispatch duties include taking customer calls and scheduling service, efficiently routing service technicians, following procedures, starting the maintenance enrollment procedure, following up with technicians after service calls, and more. Must have computer experience working with Excel and Word. Some overtime, especially in busy seasons, is required. Hourly plus benefits.
