Today we finished up the Cracker Barrel sign in Sheffield, Ohio. We were told to remove the rust from inside the sign cabinet and apply a rust-inhibiting coat to the rusted out spots.
We have a few more signs lined up across Ohio and possibly some out of state as well. Ranging from 80 to 110 feet in the air!

After a long day working in the shop getting some jobs done. We got an emergency service call for a broken hydraulic cylinder and mounting bracket on a directional boring drill. The crew brought the machine to the shop, unloaded it, and we had it repaired, welded, and painted within the hour!

This also isn’t their first time at the shop. They had us do another repair in the past and turned out great.  There is no better compliment then reoccurring customers!

Instead of just slapping some weld into it like most people would, I take my time to do it right so I don’t have to do it again. For example, in the pictures below, I grind out the old weld completely and preheat it to get a stronger weld. Then after welding, post-heat it to slow down the cooling process to prevent cracking.

No matter what job it is. it’s getting done right the first time.👌
