🔸 What is your role, and which contract are you on through Aetos? – I am the AV/VTC Operations Crew Lead supporting all levels of video conferencing, from All Hands Meetings to Flight Readiness Reviews for launches at Kennedy Space Center on the AEGIS contract.
🔸 How long have you been with Aetos? – Four years with Aetos, 19 years in my current position, and 45 years total at Kennedy Space Center.
🔸 What is your favorite part of your role? – The people I get to work with and for. They are truly some of the brightest people I've ever met.
🔸 What's been your favorite project or accomplishment in your current role? – Supporting the VIP launch viewing conference room, where I've had the opportunity to assist distinguished guests including astronauts, government leaders, and industry pioneers during launch events.
🔸 What is the best career advice you have been given or that you can give? – "Never say 'I don't know.' Always say, 'I'll find out and get back to you by the end of the day.'"

David is known for his professionalism, reliability, and unwavering commitment to mission success. His leadership, decades of experience, and dedication to delivering exceptional support make him an invaluable member of the Aetos team. Athens State University is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Donna Coleman as the Athens State University Board of Trustees Chair Pro Tempore after a unanimous vote during the Board of Trustees’ July 17 meeting.

Ms. Coleman will succeed outgoing Board Chair, Senator Arthur Orr. Mr. Mike Underwood was also named Vice Chair Pro Tempore by a unanimous vote, succeeding Mr. Jim America.

Their appointments are for a two-year term beginning at the Board’s October 2026 meeting.

Congratulations to Jason Fischer for being our July Employee Spotlight! Jason is recognized for his innovation, technical expertise, and leadership in advancing NASA's life support technologies. As project lead on multiple critical research initiatives, he supports the development of bioregenerative water purification systems, waste-to-resource recovery technologies, and other groundbreaking projects that help shape the future of human space exploration.

🔸 What is your role, and which contract are you on through Aetos? – I am a Scientist III on the LASSO II contract at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, researching bioregenerative life support technologies, waste-to-resource recovery systems, and ISRU (in-situ resource utilization) applications.

🔸 How long have you been with Aetos? – Since the beginning of the LASSO II contract, though I have been supporting NASA as a contractor since May 2018.

🔸 What is your favorite part of your role? – Getting to work across different disciplines, including chemistry, plasma chemistry, bioregenerative water purification, plant biology, and more.

🔸 What's been your favorite project or accomplishment in your current role? – Building and outfitting a mobile 24-foot wastewater treatment facility that was deployed to the University of North Dakota's astronaut analog habitat to generate real-world mission data.

🔸 What is the best career advice you have been given or that you can give? – Work with purpose, rest without guilt, and remember that your career should support your life, not replace it.
