If you rode bikes in the 70s or 80s…

That metal pedal slips off your foot.

Your leg comes down.

And those spikes catch your shin like a bear trap.

Instant blood.

You’d sit there on the curb holding your leg while your friends laughed because they all knew exactly what just happened.

And five minutes later?

You were right back on the bike.

No helmet lecture.

No safety meeting.

No quitting for the day.

Just a scraped shin, a little dirt rubbed on it, and another lap around the block.

Because riding hard meant falling sometimes.
