“Failing to plan, is planning to fail…” One of my favorite sayings. Every house gets taken from the plans and put onto the computer into my 3D modeling program EXACTLY as it will be built in real life. This allows us to pinpoint any potential problems or complications BEFORE they become one. Even though thorough plans are drawn by the architects for most projects, many times on the more complicated projects, AKA THESE TWO…..even the most thorough set of plans contain aspects of the build that are meant to be figured out on site by us builders. Just the nature of the business. That’s where this part of the process is integral in my opinion. A solution is worked out before we ever step foot on site so our site time is safer and more productive. No matter what step we’re on, I can reference the days work the night before so we have nothing left but to do the work when we’re on site. It’s never too early to start your planning process either. I encourage people to bring me in even as early as the process of looking at land. My two plus decades of experience in all phases of construction can help you pick the perfect piece of land to fit your dream home instead of modifying your dream home to fit your land. I work closely with the architects, engineers, truss designers, even kitchen designers, to make the complicated process of building your dream home a whole lot smoother. I tell every person I work with, I HATE SURPRISES. They are expensive and waste valuable time all around. Not to mention they typically end in some sort of compromise in your end product.
