Carpenter Job Summary
Our company is looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our team. We specialize in Higher-End Kitchens and Bathrooms, Windows, Entry/Garage Doors, Siding, Fencing, Decks and More, we need a Carpenter who likes to think outside the box and focused to wow clients. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of a variety of carpentry jobs and be willing to travel within an 80-mile radius. Other duties to include general carpentry/construction duties and finish carpentry based on overall company workload and projects in process. Must be flexible to work in different environments and also take on different job tasks based on the workload and customer demand.

Carpenter Responsibilities And Duties
Emphasis on: Safety, accurate layout - “starting square and plumb”, attention to detail, thinking ahead to keep project moving and solving problems
Reports to: Project/Operations Manager and Managing Lead
Supports: Project/Operations Manager and Managing Lead
Examples of Duties:
• Keep work area clean, orderly and safe
• Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or plans to prepare the layout of the project
• Lays out work using laser transits, batter boards and strings, chalk lines, plumb bobs, tapes, squares, levels, etc. Ability to read and measure distances using a tape measure.
• Estimate height, width, length and other proportions
• Select materials, shape or cut materials to specified measurements using chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and/or erect structures
• Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives
• Assisting with fitting and installing window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenters level, plumb bob, and laser levels
• Build and dismantle scaffolding, work on top of ladders, man lifts, etc
• Check work along the way to ensure it's up to code and specifications
• Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure
• Create structures and forms for pouring concrete
• Build guardrail and other temporary structures as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Carpenter Qualifications And Skills
• A Carpenter must have the Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.
• Customer-service skills. Properly interacting with customers and treating their property with care and respect.
• Math skills. Basic math skills are used on every job.
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings
• General construction knowledge, willingness to learn and take on other tasks to help the overall effort of the company.
• Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
• Good knowledge of English

Skilled tradesmen will need: basic hand tools, work boots, gloves, and safety glasses.

We are looking for a diligent Sales/Estimator to prepare accurate estimates for projects by gathering information and analyzing important job details. You will meet with customers upon request to provide accurate, fast turnaround estimates to customers detailing there project. You will need to be well versed in both Interior and Exterior products in order to be effective.
You will work will dealer reps. to provide a excellent product presentation in showroom and be able to show case products mobile. The ideal candidate will have need to have Measuring/Calculating Skills, and possess excellent customer service mindset. You must be thorough and apt in managing relationships with Customers and Suppliers. The goal is to provide detailed Estimates to both customers and management.

Responsibilities
* Understand the project/program and its requirements
* Determine key variables for cost and other estimates
* Gather first-hand information from sites, warehouses or other venues
* Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times etc.
* Use software for data analysis, forecasting and budgeting
* Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
* Create and submit estimate reports or bids to appropriate persons (project managers, clients, bidding competitions etc.)
* Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
* Provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs etc.)
