United’s Marc McNeece recently joined Vanderburgh County Commissioner Amy Canterbury and Spencer County Commissioner Jim Sieler for a golf outing.

It was a great opportunity to spend some time together, enjoy a beautiful day on the course, and continue building relationships with leaders in the communities United serves.

Fall Career Fair Season is officially underway!

Yesterday, our Talent Manager, Jill Wallsmith, and Design Engineer Tyrell Cockcroft, a proud Rose-Hulman alumnus, spent the day at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology’s Fall Career Fair searching for the next generation of civil engineers.

Tyrell had a great time reconnecting with old alumni, fraternity brothers, professors, new students, and even some past interns. It was a full-circle kind of day—and a busy one!

Jill and Tyrell made some great connections and represented our team well. Needless to say, after a full day of meeting students and walking the career fair floor, their feet were definitely ready for a break!

We’re excited about the talented students we met and look forward to continuing to build relationships with the next generation of engineers!

⛳️ Another United Cup is in the books!

We had a beautiful September day for golf at River Glen Country Club—and plenty of opportunities to get a few extra steps in for the United Steps Challenge! 👟

A big thanks to everyone who joined us and rolled with the cart-path-only rules. After the rain the night before and the historic flooding the course experienced in August, we appreciate everyone helping us take care of the course while still having a great afternoon together.

Congratulations to our 2026 United Cup champions, Andy Allison and Scott Minnich! 🏆 And congratulations to our prize hole winners, Caleb Ross and Reid McIntire!

From the scramble to alternating shot to solo best ball, the United Cup gave everyone a chance to compete, laugh, and enjoy some time together outside the office.

Thanks to everyone who made the day a great one!

Because roundabouts rely on clever geometry instead of electricity, they are completely immune to power outages. No grids, no signals, no stopped traffic; just continuous, safe flow, even in a blackout.

Congratulations to the Hamilton County Commissioners and Hamilton County Highway Department on the ribbon cutting and official opening of the 146th Street and Allisonville Road Interchange!

Through their leadership and commitment to the county’s transportation network, Hamilton County, Indiana transformed a heavily traveled, high-crash intersection into a safer, more efficient connection for residents, businesses, and commuters. The $44 million project carries 146th Street over Allisonville Road, with a signal-free roundabout below that improves traffic flow along one of the county’s key east-west corridors.

This milestone reflects Hamilton County’s long-term vision for safer travel, stronger regional connectivity, and infrastructure that supports continued growth.

United was proud to serve as the lead designer and construction inspection partner, working alongside the Hamilton County Highway Department, Superior Construction, Butler Fairman & Seufert, Lochmueller Group, Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), IMPO, FHWA, and the many partners who helped bring this project to completion.

Progress is taking shape at Floyd County Bridge No. 51!

Our construction inspection team was recently on site at Blackiston Mill Road over Silver Creek, overseeing the pumping, placement, and finishing of concrete for the bridge abutment footing.

Reinforcing steel was also installed for the future abutment wall, helping build the strength and support this project will need for years to come.

From the foundation up, every pour, placement, and piece of reinforcing steel brings us one step closer to a stronger, safer bridge. Every detail matters when you are building from the ground up.
