I just want to share some experience at the Career Connection on Tuesday. Firstly, it is about Resume.
1. At 2:00 AM the night before that, I just feel something not right about my resume. It looks like a list of activities that make no sense. So, I googled "what things to take off my resume" and focused more on just SOME of the best activities. I also explained in detail what I have done in each activity, assuming that the reader has no prior knowledge about that.
2. I put the "technical skills" like programming, matlab ... and the "Work experience" on the top, right after "Education". Seriously, that's what the employer is looking for.
3. Font size 11 is good enough.
4. One thing I wished I have done is go to ET101 and ask for help in reviewing the resume. Trust me, they are experts at this and will help you make an impressive resume.
More stories to come in the future!

Career Connection!
On Wednesday, October 9th from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM at Campus Center 4th floor, this is a great opportunity to find jobs or internships!
I joined this event last year and even though I did not have an internship offer (well, because I was freshman), I learned a lot from it. I knew how to make a firm handshake, a confident smile and a good conversation. This is a chance to practice those professional skills.

The Career Connection is designed specifically for Engineering, Technology, and Informatics students and alumni. This is an incredible opportunity for students at IUPUI to network with employers and learn more about potential internship, co-op, and career opportunities in their field.
