We’ve been a little quiet on here lately not because we haven’t had anything going on, but because we’ve been so blessed with a lot of work and have been busy taking care of our customers. ❤️

But today, our hearts are with our fellow Hoosiers who are facing something so much bigger than HVAC.

The flooding across Indiana has been devastating. Families have lost homes, businesses have been affected, and so many are facing the difficult days of figuring out what comes next.

As a small, family-owned business, we know that home is more than four walls. It’s where your family gathers, feels safe, and makes memories.

So today, we’re praying for the families who have been displaced, the communities helping them, the first responders and volunteers, and everyone beginning the long road of recovery.

Indiana, we’re praying for you. ❤️

If you’re able, check on a neighbor, lend a hand, give what you can, or simply pray. Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness mean the most.

This week has been a busy one for our little family business! ☀️💪

Yesterday we installed a mini split in an upstairs office with lots of windows that struggled to stay comfortable. It was no small task in 90°+ heat, but we’re thankful to help make that space comfortable year-round.

The rest of the week has been filled with service calls, adding ductwork to a room addition, and replacing a rooftop compressor on a commercial building. Long hours, hot attics, rooftops, and plenty of sweat 🫠 but we’re genuinely grateful for every customer who trusts CSO Mechanical LLC.

Thank you for supporting our small family business. We don’t take it for granted. ❤️

☀️ It’s going to be another HOT one today with temps in the 90s and heat warnings in effect.

As the heat rises, your HVAC system is working hard to keep up… so here are a few simple ways to help keep your home cooler and reduce strain on your system:

• Keep curtains and blinds closed during peak sun hours
• Limit opening and closing exterior doors
• Use ceiling fans to help circulate cool air
• Keep interior doors open for better airflow
• Set your thermostat to a comfortable temperature and avoid constantly adjusting it

A quick reminder: If your thermostat is set to 72° but your home is reading 76–77° during the hottest part of the day, that does NOT always mean something is wrong with your system.

During extreme heat, many systems run almost nonstop trying to keep up. Factors like direct sunlight, older windows, insulation, ceiling height, and overall home efficiency all play a role.

Your system may simply be doing exactly what it’s designed to do under heavy demand.

Please keep HVAC technicians and everyone working outdoors in your prayers today. They’re climbing into attics, rooftops, and mechanical rooms in dangerous heat to keep homes and businesses comfortable.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and check on elderly neighbors, family, and pets today❤️

And as always, if you’re having issues with your system or feel something isn’t right, give CSO Mechanical LLC a call… we’re here to help.

One of the things we’re most proud of at CSO Mechanical is helping homeowners make informed decisions and not selling them something they don’t need.

Recently, a customer was told by multiple companies that they needed a complete HVAC system replacement, with estimates ranging from $15,000-$20,000+.

After a thorough diagnosis, Chris identified the actual problem and was able to repair the system without replacing it.

Here’s what the customer had to say:

💬 “Chris found the problem and fixed my air. He didn’t try to give me the runaround. He was professional, honest, reliable, kind, and never tried to overcharge me. I will never have anyone but Chris work on my system from here on out.”

Thank you, Jason, for trusting us with your family’s comfort and for taking the time to share your experience.

If your system isn’t working properly and you’re being told replacement is your only option, it may be worth getting a second opinion! Call us today!

Another successful install for CSO Mechanical LLC today!

Our customer’s HVAC system needed replaced, and once we removed the old furnace, we discovered 6 cracks in the heat exchanger…. something that can become very dangerous and should never be ignored.

This is your reminder to have your gas furnace inspected yearly. Regular maintenance doesn’t just help your system run better, it helps keep your family safe.

We were thankful to get our customer back up and running with cold AC again just in time for the warmer weather ahead.

Thank you to everyone who continues to trust our small family business. We truly appreciate every call, referral, and customer!

Catch of the day 🐟🧊

Yes that monster block of ice Chris is holding came straight out of a commercial walk-in refrigerator that wasn't keeping temperature.

Here's what happened: ice had built up completely over the evaporator coil inside the unit. When that happens, air can't pass through the coil to get cooled so the fridge just keeps running without actually doing anything. Meanwhile, temperatures inside the unit creep up and food safety becomes a serious concern.

Chris pulled the ice, diagnosed the root cause, cleaned the coil, and got the unit back up and running.

If you own or manage a restaurant, grocery, or any business with a walk-in cooler or freezer and it hasn't been serviced recently this is your sign to get it checked out before something like this happens to you.
