The annual chili Cookoff is complete! Congrats to Cory Brown on taking 1st place. Chuck Penaflor came in 2nd and Linda Algie roundes out the top 3!

We have been made aware of a scam using our company information that is associated with fraudulent checks. A recipient receives a check and then they are asked to participate in a secrete shopper program. THIS IS A SCAM. Mattcon is not associated with any programs like this.

There are projects, and then there are partnerships. The new Central Region Little League Complex in Whitestown is the result of many new partnerships forged over the past few years. It was truly an honor to work with Little League International to bring this project from bean field to Championship Ball Field, where countless dreams will be realized for years to come. ⚾️

Introducing Accounting Assistant, Linda Algie! Linda has been with Mattcon for seven years and resides here in Indianapolis with her husband of 32 years, David. Linda is a two time champion in our very own Mattcon Chili Cook-off!

When she’s not working, Linda enjoys supporting David in his many projects, spending time with her son and three beautiful granddaughters Myra, Sydney, and Talayla, and her two cats, Sophie and Sammy. Her interests include traveling, (especially to New Zealand where her husband is from) cooking and baking for friends and family, volunteering, attending Diversity Church, and ice skating.

Linda has been presented with the “President’s Volunteer Service Award” from Service with Volunteers of America for her volunteer work and continues to volunteer for the Hope Center. Her favorite quote is from Mary Kay Ash: “If you think you can, you can. If you think you can’t, you’re right.”

Fun Fact: Linda won the 1992 White River State Games in Adult Figure Skating!

*MGC's Employee Spotlight*

Introducing Superintendent, Lee Weakley! Lee is from Sheridan, Indiana and currently resides in rural Lebanon, Indiana. With 25+ years in construction, 20 of those years have generously been spent at Mattcon. Lee has overseen many projects for us. Some of his portfolio includes Fairway Cooperative House – Purdue, Kappa Sigma Fraternity Addition and Remodel, Midtown Lofts – Bloomington, Cumberland Elementary Admin Expansion, INDOT Westfield Unit, LSC Broncho Plaza, and most recently the Columbian Park Zoo - Penguin Exhibit in Lafayette. When Lee isn’t on the jobsite, he enjoys snowmobiling, just about anything outdoors, and spending time with his family. He has been a youth football coach for many years in several divisions but will be “retiring” after this season. Fun fact: One of Lee’s children played on the 2018 Indiana 2A State Champion Football team!
