Last week, Nathan Newton and Lonnie Merida's bridge crews poured concrete for the Washington Road overpass over I-70 as a part of the Revive I-70 project, which is focused on improving traffic flow and safety along the interstate in Wayne County.

Fountain Central Jr./Sr. High School students recently visited Milestone's Plant 23 in Veedersburg, Indiana to get a hands-on look at our asphalt operations. Led by Eric Brown and Josh Clark, with Mrs. Ashwill accompanying her high school class, the visit highlighted the variety of career opportunities available within our industry. Students finished the tour with a better understanding of the work we do and the role they could potentially play in building and maintaining our infrastructure.

May 15th is Asphalt Day, so today we're celebrating the hard-working folks who build and repair our asphalt roads. Laying asphalt can involve long days and hard work, but it’s rewarding. Our asphalt crews can build roads that are often reopened to traffic within hours or by the next day, a testament to the craft and efficiency behind every project. We kicked off Day of Caring yesterday with an amazing group of volunteers from Milestone Contractors, who spent the day repairing Thrive Alliance's parking lot! 👏

A huge THANK YOU to Milestone for always being willing to step up and tackle these important heavy-duty projects for agencies that need a helping hand. Your partnership makes a real difference in our community!

Tomorrow, nearly 500 volunteers will fan out across the community to serve local nonprofits and complete projects that matter. We can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make together! 💙

Last week, Milestone and US Aggregates sponsored Boone County Solid Waste Management District 's Beautify Boone Cleanup! Team members gathered in Thorntown to pick up litter on the Big 4 Trail and around town, joining over 700 volunteers working throughout the community to . 🌞

A big thank you to everyone who helped out! The day went by quickly, and we look forward to helping again next year.

The Milestone team in Lafayette has recently adopted a spot as part of the Litter Free Lafayette initiative! Once a month, employees will get together to clean up litter, help maintain perennial landscaping and remove leaves and weeds. Together, we're invested in our communities and in making lives better, one road and bridge at a time.
