Established in 1946, Major Tool & Machine started business as a custom job shop specializing in the production of tooling and aircraft ground support equipment, and has since significantly expanded its market scope and capabilities. Today, we are recognized as a critical leader in providing world-class manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, machining, and assembly services to a variety of United States and International customers. Major Tool & Machine manufactures hardware for a variety of industries including Aerospace, Defense, Power Generation, Commercial Industrial, and the Nuclear markets. Now Hiring for Day Shift: Experienced Mazak 670 Lathe Machinist for Aerospace Precision Work
Major Tool & Machine is looking for a high level Mazak 670 machinist with proven experience in custom aerospace machining. This is more than an operator role. We need someone who can take ownership of complex work from programming through inspection.

What We’re Looking For:
• Strong aerospace machining background
• Experience with custom work—not production line operators
• Ability to independently manage complex parts from start to finish
• Serious, skilled machinists who take pride in precision and accountability

Compensation and Perks:
• Time and a half after 40 hours
• Double time after 48 hours
• Competitive base pay based on skill and experience
• Generous paid time off
• Free to low-cost benefits and 401K
• Free onsite clinic and gym

59 years. Nearly 74% of our entire history. 🤯

This year, as Major Tool & Machine celebrates 80 years, we’re also celebrating an extraordinary milestone for Gene Davis — 59 years with MTM.

He has been part of nearly three-quarters of everything that has come since — the growth, the changes, the challenges, the people and the work that have shaped MTM into what it is today.

Few people get to say they’ve witnessed that much of a company’s history. Even fewer can say they helped build it.

At Major Tool & Machine, our partnership with the Navy Talent Pipeline Program (NTPP) has helped us find an amazing team member in Jada Jackson, graduate of the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) program. Jada’s story is a powerful example of why this partnership matters. As our very first hire from ATDM, and now serving as a Quality Inspector at MTM, she’s already showing what’s possible when strong training meets real opportunity. From the classroom to the shop floor, Jada continues to lean into every challenge, learn new skills, and grow her confidence at MTM. She’s just the first and as this partnership expands, we look forward to welcoming more talented individuals who will follow in her footsteps.
