There isn’t one perfect thermostat setting for every home...but there is a great place to start.
For most Central Indiana homes, 78° is a comfortable, energy-conscious setting during the summer. If you’re heading out for the day, raising it a few degrees can help reduce unnecessary wear on your system while you’re away.
Keep in mind that every home is a little different. Insulation, sunlight, ceiling height, and even humidity can all affect what feels comfortable.
At Family Heating & Air, we’re always happy to answer questions and help homeowners get the most from their heating and cooling system.
