A night of laughter for a great cause!

Members of the FANCO team had a wonderful time at last night's Ignite the Night event, benefiting the Indianapolis Legal Aid Society and honoring Indianapolis attorney Bob Grand.

Beyond the laughs and good company, the evening supported an organization that has been helping individuals and families access free legal representation since 1941.

We're proud to be part of the Indianapolis business community and grateful for opportunities to support the organizations making a difference right here in Indiana.

Meet Al Farabee, Principal Engineer, Reactor Operations at First American Nuclear.

Al brings more than 55 years of experience in the nuclear industry, with a career spanning submarine nuclear systems, commercial nuclear power and the Fast Flux Test Facility.

His work has included plant startup, testing, operations, maintenance and shutdown, giving him decades of firsthand experience with nuclear systems in practice.

Today, Al is bringing that knowledge and experience to FANCO and the development of EAGL-1.

There’s a difference between designing a fast reactor and having firsthand experience bringing one to life.

Members of First American Nuclear’s team worked on the Fast Flux Test Facility (FFTF), bringing experience across fast reactor design, authorization, construction, maintenance and operations.

Today, that experience is being shared with a new generation of engineers developing EAGL-1.

It’s an opportunity to carry forward lessons about what works, what doesn’t and what it takes to turn advanced reactor technology into real-world systems.

Earlier this week, First American Nuclear VP of Government Affairs Laura Anderson joined energy and technology leaders at Purdue University for the Annual Energy Outlook 2026 Roadshow.

Laura participated in a panel focused on the engineering and economics of powering and , with discussion around growing energy demand, infrastructure investment, affordability and reliability across Indiana and the Midwest.

As energy needs continue to evolve, conversations like these bring together utilities, technology companies, policymakers and energy developers to consider what will be needed to support future growth.

What does it take to bring the next generation of nuclear energy to life? ⚛️🇺🇸🇬🇧

Last week, FANCO joined the first U.S. Advanced Nuclear Mission to the UK, connecting with people across nuclear technology, manufacturing, government and the supply chain.

The week took us working sessions and conversations about what comes next for advanced nuclear.

Because building a reactor is only part of the story. Turning new nuclear technology into reality takes the right people, partnerships and infrastructure behind it.

For FANCO, it was another step toward bringing EAGL-1 from technology to deployment.
