First American Nuclear is heading to London for the World Nuclear Symposium, September 9 – September 11.

We’re looking forward to hearing perspectives from across the global nuclear industry, discussing what it will take to meet rising energy demand, and connecting with colleagues and partners throughout the week.

If you’ll be attending, we hope to see you there.

What does it take to build the next generation of nuclear energy?

A simplified reactor design. A team that has done the work before. And a clear path toward deployment.

During the Women in Nuclear closing plenary, Michelle Malone shared how FANCO is bringing those pieces together through EAGL-1, our Generation IV lead-bismuth-cooled fast reactor.

Lead-bismuth supports natural circulation and passive safety, operates at slightly below atmospheric pressure and does not react violently with air or water. The result is a path toward a simpler reactor design and safety case.

FANCO is not starting from scratch. Our team’s experience designing, building, operating and maintaining fast reactors is shaping where EAGL-1 goes next.

This is advanced nuclear built on experience and designed for deployment.

The future of nuclear energy is worth seeing up close. ⚛️

Thank you to Congresswoman Erin Houchin for visiting First American Nuclear to talk about the momentum behind American nuclear energy, the opportunities ahead, and the work our team is doing to help move the industry forward.

We appreciated the conversation and the chance to share what we’re building as we work toward commercial deployment.

Our doors are open. We welcome the questions and the conversation about what comes next for nuclear.

What if deploying advanced nuclear required less?

No high-pressure systems.
No large containment domes.
No costly intermediate loops.
A compact footprint.
Fuel flexibility designed for a future closed fuel cycle.

EAGL-1 is being engineered to reduce complexity from the start — with a design built around real-world manufacturing, construction, and deployment.

Because sometimes innovation isn’t what you add. It’s what you no longer need.

Connections, conversations, and a shared focus on what comes next for nuclear energy.

At NECX 2026, the FANCO team spent time networking with industry colleagues, taking meetings, and learning from sessions focused on the future of the industry.

Thank you to everyone who connected with us throughout the conference.

Leadership has the power to inspire what comes next.

FANCO Mechanical Engineer Nicole Elizarraras reflects on the people who have shaped her perspective, including the strong female leaders she works alongside at FANCO. She also shares the importance of supporting others across the nuclear industry and setting an example for the next generation.

The future of nuclear will be built by people who learn from one another and create opportunities for those who follow.

New nuclear takes time. Your energy needs don't.

Bridge Power delivers gas power now, while EAGL-1 moves through licensing, on the same power island.
