Introducing Randall Blankenship into the history of AHS...

Jeremiah and Randall's friendship began long before AHS. The two met on the baseball field at the age of 15 as competitors and later attended Barboursville High School together. Little did they know that their lifelong friendship would eventually become an important part of the AHS story.

One evening, the two friends were talking, and Randall asked Jeremiah how the business was going.

At the time, Jeremiah told him that things were going well, but he was hearing the same request from customers. They needed someone who could repair and rebuild hydraulic pumps, cylinders, and valves.

Randall replied, "That's what I've been trained to do."

At the time, Randall was working at INCO in Huntington, WV. Jeremiah asked if he would be interested in doing the repair work in the evenings to make some extra money.

And just like that, a new chapter of AHS began.

Randall started working evenings and in his spare time at a facility the two rented on Adams Avenue in Huntington, WV (picture below). What began as a side job quickly grew into something much bigger.

Through hard work, dedication, and Randall's expertise, AHS began to experience significant growth. Randall recognized the potential of what they were building and, in a leap of faith, decided to leave his full-time position at INCO and dedicate himself, with Jeremiah, to growing the company.

Jeremiah credits Randall and his technical expertise with changing the dynamics of AHS and helping launch the company into its next phase of growth.

From two lifelong friends and a small beginning came a partnership that would help shape the future of AHS.

Ever wonder how AHS got its start?

It started with this man...and this van.

In 1995, Jeremiah Fulks founded American Hose & Industrial Supply with little more than a vision, determination, and an Astro Van similar to the one pictured.

With limited experience in the industry but a strong belief in what he could build, Jeremiah persevered. He began selling hydraulic and industrial hoses and supplies, traveling throughout the Tri-State area to meet with customers and manufacturing hoses on-site to meet their needs.

As he spent time visiting customers, Jeremiah began to recognize another growing need: the rebuilding and servicing of hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and valves.

And then, a lightbulb went off.

That realization opened the door to the next chapter of AHS-and the introduction of Randall Blankenship, a lifelong friend who would become an integral part of the company's story.
