A cleaning brush got stuck inside the vent. Pulling it from the top wasn’t working, so Rich changed his approach and worked from the bottom up until he got it out.

This was a previous customer we cleaned for three years ago. When we came back to this Coto de Caza home, we found a clog forming in the 90° elbow of the vent.

It wasn’t a crazy amount of lint coming out. But that’s what makes this a good example.

With a longer vent and a 90° turn, the elbow can become one of the first places where lint starts to collect and form a clog. If that clog is left there for another few years, more lint can continue building up behind it.

Three years may not seem like a long time, but this shows how buildup can start becoming a problem even when the vent doesn’t look completely packed.
