For large-scale infrastructure development, one question is becoming harder to postpone:

Where will the power come from?

During his recent Schwab Network interview, BaRupOn CEO Balaji Tammabattula described energy as the largest concern facing major projects:

“The biggest of them all is energy. There’s not enough energy.”

On September 30 in India, Barupon and project partners met with infrastructure executives for discussions centered on the REPM initiative.

Complex industrial development requires alignment across infrastructure, manufacturing requirements, engineering, ex*****on, and long-term operations.

It is easy to look at an industrial site and focus on the building footprint.

Operations need more than the building.
Roads have to move people, materials and equipment.
Water and utility infrastructure need space.
Access has to work around the operation.
Future phases still need somewhere to go.

That is why we look at industrial land as an operating environment, not simply an area where a building can fit.

The better question is not:
Can the building fit here?

It is:
Can everything the operation depends on fit here too?

-Power.
-Water.
-Utilities.
-Transportation access.
-Construction phasing.
-Manufacturing readiness.

Those requirements sit outside the land price, but they can shape the entire development decision.

What still has to happen before your operation can function here?
