Evergreen Supply Company is a WBE/DBE/SBE electrical supply company, which provides lighting and electrical supplies to contractors who are involved in the Chicago area’s largest construction projects, and also customized inventory management plans to building property managers and building owners. Established by Patt Gallagher and her daughter Colleen Kramer in 1986, Evergreen Supply has grown fr
om a home-based business with two product lines to a business housed in its own 20,000-square-foot warehouse, offering more than 450 product lines, and grossing over $15 million a year. The company has grown to over 800 clients, including many of the Chicago area’s largest public and private organizations, including the Museum of Science & Industry, Illinois Department of Transportation, O’Hare Airport, and Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Studios, among many others. At the turn of the century, Evergreen Supply won its largest contract ever to provide electrical supplies to the Chicago area’s largest private project in history – Millennium Park. Over a five-year period during its construction, Evergreen Supply provided over $2 million in actual lighting fixtures and electrical supplies. Its attention to service not only won accolades but led to an annual inventory management program, which the company holds to this day. While Patt serves as company chairman, Colleen is now the president, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. For her business success, Colleen was inducted in March 2009 into the UIC Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame. Evergreen Supply Company carries a wide range of electrical supplies including lamps, ballasts, switch gear, and copper wire and conduit from leading manufacturers such as GE, Philips, Cooper Industries, Siemens and Osram/Sylvania.
