As of June 2024 we are taking on no new projects and are in the process of closing our doors for good.
Its been great building homes for the fine folks around Ithaca the last 20 years.
It's now time for new endeavors.

Creative Constructions is looking for a full time worker to help us with a large variety of new home construction work. This is an entry level position paying 18$ an hour to start. Your duties will include helping experienced team members with framing, trim, painting and other work as well as general labor and cleaning. Daily on the job training will be provided.
Candidate must have transportation to and from job site and be a reliable team member able to work min 30 hours a week. Jobs are typically located in or near The Town of Ithaca.

Creative Constructions needs another team member!

Creative Constructions is an established team of 9 skilled guys (ages 25 to 65) creating interesting and energy efficient homes, in and around the Town of Ithaca-
To keep up with our work load, we need to add one full or near full time person who has with trim and framing skills.
The ideal candidate is hard working, a good communicator, does good work and has a positive and easy going nature.

Daily access to email and texting is required you must have basic tools and transportation

Creative constructions focus on framing trim interior paint, siding and electrical work etc on each of our new homes, Concrete/foundations, plumbing/heating, drywall and roofing, are left to our trusted subs.

We typically have 3 homes going at once so bouncing back and forth from framing to trim & finish work and siding with the seasons and sometimes even in a span of a week or month is not uncommon.
Although we all have our specialties (& preferences) team mates are encouraged to participate in everything from framing to trim as well as helping create custom built-ins, do air sealing and some insulation work, along with applying finishes etc.

Work hours are typically 9 to 5, often 8 -4 the summer. We build year round.
The work environment is enjoyable and supportive. We are flexible in accommodating with needed time off etc.
We’re all left leaning, we have fun at work, and we work as a team.

Our clients are most always very nice and always love what we build for them. Word of mouth has kept us slammed for years.
A typical project is on a sweet building lot somewhere out in the countryside around Ithaca (not more than 20 min from down town) Our work is about helping our clients build their unique, beautiful, and always energy efficient home.

Pay is commensurate with what you bring to the table…
ranges between $25- $33 depending on skills.

Year end bonus are earned, paid lunch break and other small perks can be expected.

We are in need of another team member or two!

Creative Constructions is an established builder made up of 10 skilled guys (ages 24 to 65). Weve been creating interesting and energy efficient homes in and around Ithaca for nearly 2 decades.
We typically complete between 2-4 new homes a year and are booked 3 years out.

To keep up with our workload, we are looking to add 2 full time carpenters, who ideally have at a min. 4 years experience in residential construction.

The ideal candidates are hardworking, good communicators, conscientious and exude a positive attitude.
Access to email and texting is a must, along with having basic tools, and transportation.

We typically have a couple homes going at once so bouncing back and forth between a variety of work in a span of a week or month is not uncommon.

Although each partner has his specialties & preferences, teammates are encouraged to participate in all aspects of the work learning from and supporting each other in the process.
We believe participating in a variety of work and shared problem solving opportunities keeps the job interesting, is good for the team and makes a better completed home.

We build year round, typically hours are 9-5, earlier hours in the summer). We typically take off the coldest and hottest days of the year.

The work environment is enjoyable and supportive. We are flexible in accommodating needed time off etc.

We only build custom new homes, (no renovations) and our clients are a joy to work with. Our clients typically have a sweet property in the country side around Ithaca (not more than 20 min from down town) and a dream to build a unique energy efficient home with a creative and fun builder.

This is Kathleen's home, completed last winter. Design by Kristin Bartholomew. A nice blend of modern and rustic.
Spray foam insulation, state of the art heat pump cooling and heating, 1.0 ACH, (a very tight house), cement board siding, colored concrete floor, locally cut hemlock posts and beams, and loads of glorious views.

Yep, We build through the New York winter. 😉
Fortunately this year's has been pretty tame - so far.
