May & Carter Transport drivers haul exclusively for its customers to repeat locations. This position will allow the driver to be home each day/night.

Trucks are home based in Jackson Georgia just off of I75.

• Current positions may require working a weekend day with off days during the week.
• Current positions may require night driving.
• Salary varies $75,000 to $95,000 per year depending on time committed to work.

Responsibilities:

Loading of Fuel – receive dispatch instructions, proceed to specified terminal, confirm gallons to be loaded, confirm brand of product to load, start loading procedure at terminal, obtain bill of lading from terminal prior to leaving.

Hauling of Fuel – Obey all laws and ordinances including DOT specified regulations for hazardous material hauling. Abide by company no cell phone policy. Maintain safe and professional control of the vehicle at all times.

Delivery To Location – Confirm delivery address prior to dispensing product, check current inventory levels to ensure there is enough remaining tank storage for the delivery of the product and note the beginning volume prior to delivery. Check tanks for correct product delivery in specified tank. Dispense product to the correct tank. Once product has been delivered verify the ending volume of the tank. Should an emergency occur take immediate action using company trained procedures to maintain safety for personnel and public. At the end of the day return paperwork to specified location.

Class of Equipment – Hazmat Liquid Tanker

Application Requirements:
• Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check, DOT Drug Screen, DOT Employment Verification, DOT Physical.
• Must be located within reasonable distance to Jackson, GA for travel commute to home base of trucks.

Provide: Authorization for up to a 7 year MVR

Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift 50lbs several times at each delivery, and occasionally over 75lbs.

License Requirements: Must have a valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements.

April 20, 2021 is the 50th anniversary of May & Carter Oil Company.

In 1971 Johnny Carter partnered with L.W. May and changed the name from L.W. May Distributors to May & Carter Oil Company. In 1983 Johnny bought out his partner, but kept the name.

In 2005 John Carter joined the office team. Beginning in 2012 Johnny transitioned the operation to John.

Today we celebrate 50 years as May & Carter and remember those that helped us along the way.

Remember to fuel up at the HMS/JHS pump at the Park Ave BP! Two cents from every gallon purchased at this pump is donated to our schools. Proceeds from April sales will go to Jackson High School so be sure to stop by and support our Red Devils the next time you need to fill up!
