Project Spotlight: Gulf Shores Pedestrian Bridge – Intracoastal Waterway (City of Gulf Shores, AL)
Bridge work over active waterways requires coordination across construction, traffic, and environmental conditions, especially on projects that serve both function and community connectivity.
In Gulf Shores, Alabama, our team is providing Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services for the City of Gulf Shores on the Waterway Village Pedestrian Bridge, a $24 million project spanning the Intracoastal Waterway near AL State Route 180.
The project includes a tied-arch pedestrian bridge, two stair/elevator towers, utility relocation, and plaza areas on both sides of the waterway.
Since construction began in March 2025, work has progressed on bridge piling, vertical construction, and supporting infrastructure, with ongoing traffic control and erosion control efforts helping maintain safe and efficient operations.
Projects like this highlight the importance of coordination, field leadership, and collaboration across teams, bringing together the strengths of our team.
