Owner Keith Wilson accepting the 2014 Business Environmental Steward award yesterday at the Jackson Tennessee Mayor's Civic Pride Celebration. When Mr. Wilson purchased the business assets at 532 Mobile Street in February 2013, the property was considered a public eyesore and frequently received complaints at the city Health & Sanitation Department from neighbors. But after only 6 months, through hard work and dedication to his commitment to be an asset to Downtown Jackson rather than a nuisance, Keith transformed the property and, much to our neighbors' delight, has shown Jackson, Tennessee, that recycling does not have to be a dirty business. Congratulations to Keith and his team and thank you for making All Fiber & Scrap a beautiful place to work!

After having open heart surgery at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Keith Wilson, the owner of All Fiber & Scrap Recycling was a key figure in starting this annual charity shoot. The event encompasses two separate shoot dates with the money raised by the charity event supporting two wonderful causes: cardiac patients at Saint Thomas Hospital, and the Northwest Community College School of Nursing. Just cashed out Madison Academic's 2014 Project Graduation account and like everything else they do, Madison Academic went above and beyond. Madison seniors and their families recycled 98.34 tons (196,680 pounds) of paper! So what did they accomplish by recycling so much? They saved 688,380 gallons of water, 324.522 cubic yards of landfill space, 1672 trees, and enough energy to power the average American home for 49 years and 2 months! Oh and not to mention they raised over $3,300 for their Project Graduation event. Way to go Madison Academic!!
