For more than a century, the Sisters of St. Joseph at Nazareth in Kalamazoo has been dedicated to serving the community. Their continued investment in solar energy reflects the sisters' commitment to both environmental care & stewardship along with long-term planning, operational efficiency, and creating greater value for the residents and community they serve.

After installing their original solar system, the sisters at Nazareth expanded their solar array with a 400kW addition, bringing their total system capacity to 583.6kW. This added capacity helps support their growing energy demands while improving energy cost predictability and generating long-term savings that can be reinvested into their residents, facility, and mission.

By expanding their solar investment, the sisters at Nazareth are demonstrating how they can leverage solar energy as a long-term strategy to support reducing the use of fossil fuels, managing operating costs, and continue making an impact in their community. ☀️ Congregation of St. Joseph
