Come see us tonight at the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science for Family Fun Science Night!! FFSN will last from 6pm- 8pm and children will get to engage in hands-on activities that are geared towards increasing children's interest in science.

Interested in Chemistry? You're in luck! The Chemistry Clubs of Belhaven University and Mississippi College will be at for hands-on science activities during Family Fun Science Night (FFSN).

Visit Mississippi Museum of Natural Science for FFSN on Thursday, January 17th from 6pm-8pm to see these and other engaging exhibitors to support your child’s interest in science.

Admission: $6 for adults, $4 for youth ages 3-18, under age 3 are free. Museum Members are free.

Belhaven had the opportunity to host a Science Fair today for our local homeschool students. Several professors from our Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology Departments were the judges. Thank you Dr. Carlson, Dr. Robinson, Dr. Brandon and Dr. Estes for taking time out of your day to judge. The students worked very hard on their presentations and they were all great! Congratulations to the students who took home 1st place in their divisions and we wish you the best of luck at Regionals!

Belhaven University SMACS Chapter would like to invite you to attend the STEM Education in Mississippi: Issues and Innovations Symposium held this Friday, September 29th at Belhaven University. It will be located in the Billy Kim International Building and last from 11AM-8:30PM. Registration will begin at 10:30am (or you can register online with the link below) and lunch will be served from 11:45pm-12:30pm. It is $15 for the day or just $10 for the dinner and the Keynote Speaker. The welcome address by Dr. Roger Parrot, Belhaven University President, will start at 12:30pm kicking off the speaking sessions for the day. At 4:15pm there will be a Statewide SMACS meeting that we encourage all our student members to attend. The Wizard Show will begin at 5:30pm with Dinner following at 6:45pm. We hope to see y’all there!

The annual Fall Picnic will be tomorrow, Friday the 22nd, in Preston Commons. It is located on the Belhaven Campus, on the back side of Preston Hall. ACS will be hosting it this year along side the Math and Computer Science departments. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks and games! We hope to see you all there!
