Routine environmental cleaning is essential. But contamination doesn’t follow a cleaning schedule.

That’s why I’m interested in how we can add another layer of protection between those routine cleaning cycles—especially on High-Volume Touchpoints.

Managed Contamination Infrastructure (MCI) and Automated Disinfection Technology (ADT) offer us a different way to think about the challenge: moving from periodic intervention toward continuous contamination management.

That shift is worth exploring.

We saw this today.

This is an actual elevator panel we came across.

No demonstration. No staged photo. Just an everyday, High-Volume Touchpoint doing exactly what High-Volume Touchpoints do - being touched, over and over again.

Look at the fingerprints. Each one represents another interaction with the same shared surface. The fingerprints are easy to see. What may have been transferred from one touch to the next isn’t.

It’s a simple visual reminder of why MicroLumix continues to focus on the spaces between traditional cleaning cycles. Cleaning remains essential - but shared touchpoints don’t stop being touched once cleaning is complete.

That is the challenge behind our work with Automated Disinfection Technology (ADT) and the broader Managed Contamination Infrastructure (MCI) approach: developing protection around the way people actually move and interact with their environment.

Great things can begin with a simple introduction.

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Edward “Eddie” McCarthy III, President of the Rotary Club of Jacksonville, to the MicroLumix offices.

It was an opportunity to share our technology, our vision and—most importantly—the mission behind what we are building.

The visit grew from a relationship we're especially thankful for. John Fryer, past President of the Rotary Club of Jacksonville, welcomed us into the Rotary community and introduced us to Eddie and Susan Masucci. Those introductions have led to conversations, new relationships and a shared appreciation for what it means to serve others.

For MicroLumix, being part of Jacksonville means more than having our headquarters here. It means finding ways to contribute to the community around us and connecting with people and organizations who share a desire to make a meaningful difference.

Our work may have global ambitions, but service starts at home.

We’re proud to call Jacksonville home.

MicroLumix is building technology with the potential to reach far beyond our city.

Recently, members of our leadership team had the opportunity to hear Mayor Donna Deegan speak about Jacksonville’s continued growth and the importance of innovation, technology and attracting talented people and companies to our community.

Those ideas hit close to home for us.

Jacksonville’s technology community is gaining momentum, and MicroLumix wants to be part of that story—not simply as a company headquartered here, but as a company growing here, creating opportunities here and bringing new talent and ideas to Northeast Florida.

We also valued the opportunity to connect with the Mayor and military and community leaders who are helping shape Jacksonville’s future. We look forward to continuing those conversations and sharing more about the work happening right here at MicroLumix.

Khaled leads the development of embedded systems, firmware architecture, and electronic control platforms powering the company’s next-generation contamination-control technologies.

Khaled bridges the critical intersection between hardware and software. At MicroLumix, he oversees firmware strategy across the company’s automated disinfection and Managed Contamination Infrastructure (MCI) platforms, collaborating across engineering disciplines to develop the embedded intelligence driving these critical technologies.
