The Decons Energy Team is currently in the field performing electrical maintenance testing on a legacy generator package, which helps assess the condition and reliability of critical electrical components.

As part of the maintenance scope, our team is conducting insulation resistance testing and Very Low Frequency (VLF) testing on medium-voltage power cables to evaluate insulation integrity and identify potential issues before they lead to unexpected failures.

Our field activities also included:
• Voltage monitoring, meter inspection, testing, and commissioning
• Electrical generator excitation transformer insulation resistance testing
• Medium-voltage (MV) power cable insulation testing using a Very Low Frequency (VLF) insulation tester
• VLF AC Hi-Pot testing

By utilizing hands-on field expertise and rigorous electrical testing, our team helps support the safe, reliable, and continued operation of critical power generation systems.

It was a great experience in Georgetown, Guyana, at the CARILEC Engineering & Procurement Conference & Exhibition 2026, where DECONS Energy had the opportunity to attend alongside our partner, Nextpower.

This event brought together utilities, energy professionals, technology providers, and regional stakeholders, providing an excellent opportunity to build relationships, exchange ideas, and explore the Caribbean's evolving energy infrastructure.

Throughout the conference, our leadership team supported Nextpower's energy business development efforts while connecting with utilities, developers, and industry leaders to discuss solutions for:

Our hearts are with the people of Venezuela following the devastating earthquakes that have impacted so many lives.
