The Construction Manager schedules, organizes, and communicates work between customers and companies with multiple crew and Foreman. This individual will work closely with the client planning department and know how to use an outline of work scope for ex*****on of a project. This candidate must have computer knowledge, estimating skills, and the ability to read blueprints. In addition, the Construction Manager is responsible for the safety of company team members and subcontractor and will investigate and report on accidents.
Responsibilities
• Knowledge of construction practices and an in-depth understanding of industrial and commercial scaffold construction principles and techniques
• Knowledge of safe scaffolding methods and materials, as well as necessary staffing requirements for construction projects
• Strong managerial, motivational, and analytical skills
• Ability to identify BrandSafway scaffold material, complete leases, and an understanding of all permit procedures and contracts and contract language
• Ability to build all standard and non-standard scaffolds (BrandSafway and OSHA standards)
• Ability to ensure project profitability/labor and material rate of return and the ability to order consumable items and use them efficiently
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position directly oversees the activities of commercial operations support staff and will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. These responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, and recommending employees for advancement, promotion, or other change of status, rewarding and disciplining employees up to and including termination and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in construction management
• Estimating experience
• Ability to manage a high quantity of administration paperwork
• Experienced in document reviews, including revised project procedures
• Knowledge and experience in the maintenance and retention of QA document and record
• Strong safety culture
• Strong problem-solving ability and the ability to analyze qualitative data
• Exceptional analytical, statistical, quantitative, and deduction skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural, multinational environment and mobilize cross-functional high-performance teams
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; MS Projects, Primavera, or other PM software applications is preferred
