Another corporate company telling the elderly they need a system. When it’s just the capacitor. Compressor overheated. Cooled that down, changed the capacitor. System running properly. 9 years old.

The husband just had a stroke not long ago and had to change the roof. They have been dealing with a lot. Then you have people trying to scam them on top of that.
Second opinion isn’t always a bad thing.

Told them Duct Work is full of mold. It’ll be 15 grand to replace all the ductwork.
Typical scare tactic.
Must have not checked the system. 

Refrigerant leaking out of the liquid line coming off the compressor
It is repairable.

A second opinion isn’t a bad thing. Especially when it seems off or will cost a lot of money.
