Congratulations again to Joe Wilson, our May Make Your Mark winner! Joe implemented multiple improvements in the webbing area that improved safety, organization, and efficiency for the team. Thanks for making your mark, Joe!
A few standout improvements from this month's drawing:
🔹 Barrett Johnson used 3D printing to redesign CNC pod components, reducing replacement costs from over $50 per part to just a few dollars each. The change is expected to save thousands of dollars annually while keeping production running smoothly.
🔹 Amanda Keithley tackled several GSA-related improvements, including new tools, training, and processes that help Customer Service, Order Entry, Spec Services, and Marketing work more efficiently and stay compliant with contract requirements.
🔹 Hannah Dailey identified a way to update SPEC templates so important modifications stay attached to models when edits are made, reducing rework and helping teams maintain accurate information.
These are great examples of looking at everyday frustrations, finding a better way, and taking action.
We've already had 16 implemented improvements this month and have surpassed 160 implemented improvements year-to-date. Keep the ideas coming, and don't be afraid to partner with your supervisor to get them across the finish line.
See it. Solve it. Implement it.
