In Florida’s hot and humid climate, AC vents often condensate due to the significant temperature difference between the cool air from the AC and the warm, moisture-laden ambient air. When the cool air passes through the vents, it cools the metal surfaces. If the surrounding air is humid, the moisture in it can condense on these cooler surfaces, similar to how water droplets form on a cold glass on a hot day. Poor insulation around the ducts, blocked airflow, or an undersized AC unit struggling to keep up with cooling demands can exacerbate this issue, leading to more pronounced condensation. This can cause water staining and possibly mold growth. Call Frank at Peace of Mind Services LLC 941-861-9444
