🚧 Fieldwork Underway in Scottsburg 🚧
Heritage Engineering is partnering with the City of Scottsburg, Indiana to inspect its sanitary sewer system and develop a master plan for the system’s future.
As part of this effort, our co-ops, Jake Girard and Jacob Glover, have been out in the field locating manholes, performing inspections, and mapping sewer infrastructure throughout the city.
🔍 The data they’re collecting is critical in helping us better understand how the system is currently performing and where improvements may be needed.
📊 This information will be used to develop recommendations and a long-term plan to help keep Scottsburg’s sewer system operating efficiently and reliably for years to come.

Project Spotlight – The George Luxury Apartments
Today we celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony of The George, a new mixed-use development at 1409 Main Street in Clarksville, IN. Heritage Engineering performed the site design in partnership with Denton Floyd Real Estate Group to help bring this project to life.
The George will feature 192 luxury apartment homes and ground-floor retail, supporting growth in South Clarksville while expanding housing options and contributing to the local economy.
Residents will enjoy a second-floor walkout patio for additional outdoor space, along with a variety of amenities including an outdoor pool, grill areas, a dog park and spa, a 24-hour fitness center, EV charging stations and a coffee bar.
Our co-op Jacob Glover attended the groundbreaking ceremony and captured photos of the proposed site, showcasing what’s ahead for this exciting new development.

Kroger L-365 had its Grand Opening on Thursday, November 6th - this 123,000 Square-Foot Marketplace is located at 6803 Beulah Church Road.
This Kroger features:
✔️ A Pharmacy with a drive-thru
✔️ A Health Clinic
✔️ A full Wine & Spirits section
✔️ A Sushi Bar
✔️ A Fuel Center
✔️ A Starbucks ☕
Highlights from this project include:
🔸Heritage preformed the site layout and design in coordination with the Madden Group (developer) and LD&D (developer's engineer)
🔸Preformed site permitting and approvals in coordination with Louisville MSD, Louisville Metro, LWC, and KDOW
🔸This $40 million Kroger project is part of the $200+ million-dollar Beulah Crossings mixed use development that includes additional commercial, office, and residential areas with a proposed extension of Cedar Creek Road through the development.

Project Spotlight📣- Vine Grove WWTP Improvements
Our Co-op, Gavin, has been learning about the wastewater treatment process in Vine Grove, Kentucky. Thanks to Gavin for shining a spotlight and capturing pictures of the project. Heritage Engineering is working with the City of Vine Grove to improve its wastewater treatment plant. This treatment plant is currently designed to treat 720,000 gallons of wastewater daily.

Some of the improvements include:
• A new Ultraviolet Light disinfection system.
• Modifications to the existing sludge holding tank.
• Newly built sludge processing building.
• Improving the electrical and control systems.

These improvements will make it easier for the city to expand the plant in the future and ensure the continued protection of Kentucky’s waterways. Check out our page to see more projects making a difference in local communities across Kentucky and Indiana.

On Wednesday, September 17th Axel Jagoe P.E and Scott Hannah RLS had the opportunity to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the new 100,000 SF Kroger opening in Owensboro, KY.
This Kroger will feature:
✔️ A full Wine & Spirits section
✔️ A Fuel Center
Highlights of this project include:
🔹 Areas of the site with over 15ft of cut/fill mass earthwork
🔹 Deep sanitary sewer installations
🔹 Retaining walls
🔹A large regional stormwater basin
We're excited to bring this project to life and to support the Owensboro community with modern amenities, jobs, and infrastructure enhancements. Stay tuned for updates as we build a new cornerstone for this community!
