With the warmer weather upon us🔥🔥, keeping your home cool is essential. Insulation isn't just needed for the winter months; it's vital for the summer months, too! However, many homes are not well enough insulated to beat the summer heat. Traditional insulation materials like fiberglass can often leave gaps and air pockets, which can lead to rooms being drafty in the winter and uncomfortably hot in the summer. With the rising costs of energy bills, it's essential that the air you spend money on stays in your home.

❄️Nu-Wool Premium Cellulose Insulation, on the other hand, is the true hero your home and wallet need this summer. Because of its high installed density, Nu-Wool Premium Cellulose Insulation eliminates voids and air pockets and creates a solid barrier that resists airflow. This effectively seals your home and keeps the heavy, humid summer heat outside while trapping your refreshing, air-conditioned air indoors. By stopping your AC from working overtime in the summer, Nu-Wool can help lower energy bills by providing a consistently conditioned and comfortable home all summer long.

We often see the same misconceptions about cellulose circulating online. Many claim, “Cellulose is made of paper, so it’s a fire hazard.🔥” In reality, the opposite is true. Nu-Wool Premium Cellulose Insulation carries a Class A fire resistance rating and even outperforms mineral wool in critical fire-safety tests.

✅Our insulation is treated with borates, which provide exceptional fire resistance. Furthermore, the high density of our professional installation restricts oxygen flow, significantly slowing the spread of flames. In the event of a fire, Nu-Wool creates a protective char layer along the burning areas to act as a barrier. This increased burn-through time provides those extra, life-saving minutes when they matter most.

‼️We also offer a variety of UL-classified firewall designs, including our UL-U382. This full load-bearing design is ideal for multi-family residential structures, providing up to three hours of fire protection.

👀Still skeptical? Head over to our YouTube channel, NuWoolCo, to watch our burn test video. You’ll see Nu-Wool Premium Cellulose go head-to-head with the industry’s most common alternatives. See the performance for yourself!

🌎 In today's world, the carbon impact of building materials is quickly becoming an essential metric for assessing if a product is truly sustainable or not. By looking at the overall carbon footprint, builders can adapt to choosing materials that help them actually build more sustainably.

✅ When it comes to insulation, Nu-Wool Premium Cellulose Insulation is not only an energy-efficient product, but it also is considered a carbon storing material-meaning it helps to mitigate the overall carbon footprint of the building.

🌳 Since cellulose is made from recycled paper products, and paper products are derived from trees, and trees naturally absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, cellulose as a product retains that stored carbon. The amount of stored carbon in the material even surpasses any carbon emissions that are created to manufacture the product, and for this reason it is considered a "net negative carbon" or a "carbon storing" product. In other words, cellulose has such a low carbon footprint that it actually helps offset the building's overall carbon footprint.

💡 Plus, because of cellulose's superior thermal insulating properties and its ability to prevent air infiltration, it can even make buildings more energy efficient. This energy efficiency can lower the operational carbon of your home or building, as HVAC systems don't need to run as frequently and therefore consume less energy over time. Because of these attributes, cellulose is a true performer and the superior insulation choice when it comes to building with sustainability in mind!

🧐 The building industry is now beginning to adopt preference towards materials with lower carbon-footprints. Are you prepared to adapt to the future of construction and adopt carbon-friendly products, too?

🙌 A couple weeks ago, our team was at a job site with DeVos Insulation helping them to install Nu-Cell Spray Applied Cellulose to the exposed ceiling areas of the building. Nu-Cell was chosen for this project to provide much needed sound control to the space, and to help sound from penetrating even to neighboring buildings.

🔇 Nu-Cell is a top choice for commercial projects that feature exposed ceiling designs. Because of the natural sound absorption properties of cellulose fibers, Nu-Cell is an excellent product for creating more comfortable, sound-controlled spaces!

🙌 ECOCELL batts are a sustainable, non-irritating solution to rival typical fiberglass or mineral wool. Being made from recycled paper and cotton, ECOCELL batts are comfortable and safe on the skin. They contain no harmful tactile or airborne particles like fiberglass and mineral wool do. For this reason alone, they're a much easier to handle and easier to install product!

✅ When it comes to performance, ECOCELL batts provide the same great properties of traditional cellulose but in batt form. This means resistance to air infiltration and superior sound control-something that fiberglass can't compete with. And, because of their high density and their fully friction-fit design, they don't settle over time like fiberglass batts tend to. Additionally, ECOCELL batts are treated for fire, mold, and pest resistance to provide further peace of mind.

🔇 ECOCELL batts are a great solution for providing sound performance to buildings, as they can be used to insulate interior walls and help mitigate sound transfer from room to room. It's an easy installation choice that provides exceptional comfort. ECOCELL batts can also be used to provide sound control in other places such as between stair steps, in floors, and more. However, just because they tend to be an excellent solution for interior wall use doesn't mean they can't be used on exterior walls too!
