Here’s an idea for you if you like to wrench on the family cars and trucks but have minimal space. For about $3500-$4000, a portable 120v 2 post lift system that bolts into your floor will allow you to do quite a bit if you have the ceiling height! We thickened another floor seen here for one of these set ups and after it’s all done you can work without worry the floor is going to fail your posts base anchoring system! (it’s recommended you have a minimum of 5” thick floor which you typically will not find in residential garages) we went about 10” average on this one with plenty of reinforcement thrown in as we poured.
