Cellulose Material Solutions - CMS

Cellulose Material Solutions - CMS Manufacturer of environmentally friendly and sustainable products Green, sustainable, responsible, performance, value.

These five simple words, which have far-reaching meaning, were the foundation upon which Cellulose Material Solutions, LLC (“CMS”) was built. Combining decades of recycled cellulose fiber experience with innovative non-woven technology, CMS products truly are green, sustainable, and responsible, while providing superior performance and real value in a wide variety of applications. CMS introd

uced its first product line, ECOCELL, as a green alternative to fiberglass or foam building insulation products. ECOCELL products are industry first batts and blankets made primarily from cellulose fibers. CMS is continually working to develop new products from, not only cellulose, fibers but other recycled and renewable fibers. Wherever you are now using a fiberglass, cotton shoddy, synthetic or other material for acoustical/thermal performance, with or without structure, CMS products can be designed for your needs.

📦 Sometimes when looking for a packaging solution, it can often feel like you have to sacrifice either performance or sustainability when choosing a product. However, with InfinityCell, you don't have to sacrifice either!

♻️ CMS' InfinityCell thermal packaging is made from 92% recycled paper content, while also being a reliable, high-performing solution. Because it's made of paper, InfinityCell is also curbside recyclable and certified repulpable, providing several end-of-life options that ensure it's not wasted after use. InfinityCell is a powerful yet sustainable solution that protects payloads AND protects the environment! Suitable for a variety of industries, InfinityCell is leading the way by redefining what sustainable packaging can be.

✅ InfinityCell doesn't just thermally insulate, it's also engineered to naturally cushion and protect payloads-offering physical protection alongside temperature regulation. Additionally, because InfinityCell is made from paper, it also has natural moisture management properties which allow it to absorb and wick away condensation or moisture that refrigerant packs may create. This property helps the box to keep its integrity, helping to prevent crushing or collapsing during the transit process.

🔇 Acoustical solutions can be designed to provide exceptional sound control while also being made from recycled materials-like paper, cotton, and even rPET. Performance and sustainability can, in fact, go hand in hand!

✅ All CMS acoustical panels are made from at least 70% recycled content and achieve high noise reduction (NRC) ratings, while also being engineered to effectively absorb and deaden sound.

🙌 Additionally, CMS is proud to offer a wide array of customization options for our acoustical panel product line. From material blend to custom specifications, CMS is able to create the perfect product for your acoustical needs...one that provides performance, meets aesthetic preferences, and is sustainably sourced!

♻️ At CMS, we actively recycle around 500,000 pounds of #1 PET plastic each month, turning it into new products. This helps prevent approximately 14 million water bottles from ending up in landfills monthly!

♳ PET (short for polyethylene terephthalate) is an incredibly versatile material! While PET is a type of plastic, it's unique in that it's engineered for being recyclable. In fact, PET has the "superpower" of being able to be recycled over and over again without losing its integrity-allowing it to be reclaimed time and time again for new products.

🙌 That's where companies like CMS can play a part in the sustainability story behind PET. We take rPET fibers and turn it into new products for the packaging and acoustical industries! By choosing to utilize rPET in our manufacturing process, we help ensure this incredibly versatile plastic doesn't end up in landfills-minimizing the need for new raw materials in an effort to mitigate the environmental damage caused by resource extraction and processing. We can help support a circular economy by utilizing materials that can be continuously repurposed in an effort to limit—and hopefully one day eliminate—waste streams.

🤔 How does PET go from water bottle to fiber? After PET is sorted, cleaned, and ground into flakes, it can either be recycled back into containers or turned into fiber for textiles. To make fiber, the flakes undergo additional cleaning and drying, then are melted and extruded. In the extrusion phase, they undergo a high‑temperature spinning process, where the plastic is transformed into fine threads, or filaments, which are then carded, crimped, and cut as needed.

🙌 One of the main things that sets CMS apart is the fact that our post process operations allow for product customization. We take pride in our ability to offer customized solutions, ensuring our various product lines can provide the perfect fit to meet your needs! From packaging solutions to acoustical products, the benefits of customization can cross a variety of industries and applications.

📦 When it comes to modifying our packaging products, InfinityCore or InfinityCell, CMS can customize specifications such as thickness, density, size, and cut to create something that's best suited for your payload. If you need a custom branded film on your packaging, CMS can deliver that option as well on our InfinityCore line, and our InfinityCell paper line can be fully encapsulated with kraft paper if the original exposed edge design is not desired.

🔈 Or if acoustical panels or shoddys are what you're needing, CMS can alter sizes, thickness, density, blend, and cut. CMS also offers in-line finishing options that allow acoustical panels to be covered in-line with scrims, fabrics, foils, vinyls, and more. The possibilities are virtually endless!

👉 In need of custom, sustainable solutions? CMS has you covered. Visit our website to learn more about our product offerings, or reach out today to inquire on how we can help create customized products for your application needs!
