When Nick is not at work…he is at work. Almost every weekend he is remodeling our 1971 fixer upper. Slowly we’re tackling the original windows - aluminum frame single pane. If I could express how much water damage has occurred over the decades from these!! It’s not “just a window replacement”. It’s tediously ripping out the old window, compromised drywall, moldy insulation, then putting all new in, mud work, trim, paint, etc. I’m so thankful he can do this and make it way better for our family.

What does Nick and this bee have in common? They’re both carpenters. Except this little guy can wreak havoc on wooden structures. The second photo shows carpenter bee precision…whittling away wood. Their perfectly round marks are amazing, making it look like a drill bit burrowed the hole. This is on a recent deck demo before building the new one. Hire the right kind of carpenter 😉
