Another happy customer! Old, tired heat pump unit got replaced by a modulating unit. Much better efficiency, much quieter, and much more comfort for you and your home! These modulation systems have 4-5 different 'speeds' to meet the different demands of your house. This means better humidity control, and less operational cost!

If you have wall air returns, it's time to OPEN your upper return registers, and close your lower ones.
The system will then pull out the hotter air at the top of the room, and be more effective!

Had to complete a full re-installation for a poor homeowner in Lancaster.
Last year another company really made a mess of things. They replaced a 2.5 ton R22 heat pump outdoor unit with a 4 ton R410 outdoor. The indoor unit was never changed out, and not properly converted to 410a - nevermind the size issue!! Terrible installation. Burned the paint off the new outdoor unit, left the old filter drier in place (which means none of the proper cleaning and flushing of a system was clearly not done as required). They also just used the "TWO" old pads stacked on top of each other.

Well, I spent the last two days cleaning everything up and installing a new outdoor 2.5 ton Payne unit, and a new 2.5 ton air handler with a 10kw auxiliary heat kit. (Sorry I didn't get any pictures of the indoor unit!)

No more issues for this homeowner. Amazing what a PROPERLY INSTALLED system can do! Give us a ring - 717.576.8263 if you need assistance with YOUR heating or cooling system. I am always happy to answer questions!

"Chris was excellent! He was prompt, knowledgeable, and had our external AC fan motor replaced THE NEXT DAY. Our warranty company sent out a sub-par contractor first, and after a MONTH of back and forth “it was working, now it’s not” they finally reassigned the claim to Slades. Don’t settle for less, go with the company that’s going to get the job done!"
