Turning a finished basement into a truly livable space often comes down to one key addition: a bathroom. For this Harrisburg client, we took an underused corner near the laundry area and transformed it into a beautiful, full bathroom.

The biggest challenge? A sewer line running above the concrete floor. Our team handled it with precision—removing concrete, rerouting drains, and finishing with a bathroom that feels like it was always meant to be there.

Now this lower level is more functional, more comfortable, and ready for anything—from guests to movie nights.

This Harrisburg basement is now the heart of the home. Our clients wanted more than just extra square footage—they envisioned a warm, welcoming space that could serve guests and growing kids alike. We delivered a full basement remodel featuring a private bedroom with a multifunctional closet, a guest-friendly bathroom with widened doors and shower opening, and a bright family room that opens directly to the backyard play area.

To top it off, we added a kitchenette, bar, and TV zone, creating the perfect hangout for entertaining or everyday living. A tasteful nautical theme ties it all together with custom rope accents along the stairs and support posts.

Our Mechanicsburg clients loved their family bath remodel from us, so when it was time to reimagine their primary bath, they called us again! The original layout of their primary bath was a challenge – not lacking in space, just functional design – the toilet faced the mirror, and the lack of storage led to creative but cluttered solutions. But we had a better vision!

We redesigned the space for both style and function:
✅ Replaced a massive, rarely used tub with a spacious 42” x 72” low-threshold walk-in shower.
✅ Relocated the toilet for privacy and convenience.
✅ Upgraded the vanity to a single sink, gaining valuable storage without sacrificing functionality.
✅ Maximized storage with a large, mirrored medicine cabinet, over-the-toilet cabinet, and a new linen cabinet with a hamper pullout.
✅ Added practical features: USB outlets, rollouts in the vanity base, grab bars in the shower, and perfectly placed niches.

At G.P. Harris Renovations & Remodeling, we love helping homeowners bring their vision to life, one project at a time. For our clients in Harrisburg, PA, their goal is to eventually replace all the windows and siding on their home. But they decided to begin with a bold first step—enhancing curb appeal.

We replaced a basic, ordinary sidewalk with a stunning combination: a treated deck landing leading to a beautifully stamped concrete walkway and entry landing. Next, we upgraded their entryway with a gorgeous, durable fiberglass door.

But the real challenge? We tackled the aging exterior by removing the aluminum siding and layers of loose stucco, expertly flattening the wall planes, installing new sheeting, and completing it with James Hardie fiber cement siding and trim for a fresh, sophisticated look.

Amy’s project in Pottsville, PA, is a perfect example of how we solve challenges with creative solutions. She and her husband, John, initially wanted to expand their existing garage while creating a covered deck to stop the searing summer sun. However, setbacks and structural limits made that impossible. Instead, we designed a two-car garage addition with a covered deck above—right where their old deck was. Now, they have the garage space they needed along with a stunning shaded outdoor area to enjoy. Take a look at these before and after photos to see the stunning transformation.
