Last week, the UF Astraeus Space Institute officially opened the doors to its new Mission Operations Center, and we’re proud to have played a part in bringing this unique space to life.

The new facility serves as a central hub for UF’s growing space initiatives, creating a dedicated environment for research, student involvement, collaboration, and the coordination of future space missions and operations.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of a project that will support the continued growth of space research, education, and exploration at the University of Florida.

Oelrich Construction recently completed the renovation of the Holland Law Auditorium at the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

Completed over the summer break, the renovation transformed the auditorium in time to welcome students and faculty back for the start of the fall semester. The project gave new life to an important learning and gathering space within the College of Law while working within the university’s academic schedule.

We’re proud to continue our work on the University of Florida campus and deliver spaces that support the students, faculty, and programs that use them every day.

This Saturday, Oelrich Construction is proud to sponsor Community Day at the Cade Museum while also celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Depot Park.

Join us on Saturday, August 1, for FREE admission to the Cade Museum from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, then head next door to Depot Park for the 10th Anniversary Celebration from 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

Having built both the Cade Museum and Depot Park, we're proud to see these spaces continue to serve the Gainesville community.

Every summer, one of the things we look forward to most is welcoming a new group of interns to Oelrich Construction. Through rotations in Preconstruction, Project Management, and the Field, they gain hands-on experience and a well-rounded understanding of our industry while working alongside teams across the company.

As this year's internship comes to a close, we are grateful for the opportunity to work with such a hardworking and talented group of individuals. Thank you to our team members who invested their time in mentoring and sharing their knowledge throughout the summer. We wish our interns all the best in their future endeavors and look forward to welcoming another group next summer!

Last month, we had the privilege of celebrating the grand opening of the City of Sanford Fire Station 40.

This new facility was designed to support the Sanford Fire Department’s daily operations and long-term service to the community. The station features:
🚒 Nearly 15,800 square feet of new space
🚒 A 5,659-square-foot apparatus bay
🚒 Bunk rooms and living areas for fire crews
🚒 Training, fitness, decontamination, laundry, and equipment support spaces
🚒 Dedicated storage for EMS, tools, bunker gear, and hose equipment

It was a great turnout and a proud moment to see the City of Sanford, the Sanford Fire Department, project partners, first responders, and community members come together to mark this milestone.

This week marks the beginning of our summer internship program at Oelrich Construction!

Our internship program is something our team looks forward to year-round. Over the next 12 weeks, our interns will rotate through Preconstruction, Project Management, and Field Operations, gaining hands-on experience in every phase of the construction process.

At Oelrich, we believe internships are more than learning opportunities. They are opportunities for growth, confidence-building, and a deeper understanding of the construction lifecycle.

We are grateful these students chose Oelrich Construction as the place to help shape their construction careers, and we are excited to support them as they learn, grow, and accomplish great things this summer.
